The Great Escape:

- Luke tells Jess to pack because they're going on a fishing trip.
- Rory and Lorelai wake up somewhere in Maine.
- Jess confronts Luke about his fight with Lorelai and Luke gets mad and pushes Jess in a river.
- Lorelai tells Rory what happened between her and Luke.

Homecoming:

- Rory tells Chris about what happened between Luke and Lorelai.
- Dave gets on Mama Kim's good side.
- Lorelai asks Rory what happened in New York and asks if she and Jess are planning on having sex.
- When Luke and Jess arrive back in Stars Hollow Chris confronts Luke and yells at him for upsetting 
Lorelai.
- When Lorelai and Rory get home Rory goes to the diner with Jess. They both notice that Luke doesn't 
look well and panic when he collapses.

Courage:

- Luke suffers from a Sudden Cardiac Arrest. Jess tries to revive him while Rory calls 911.
- After Luke is taken to the hospital, Rory goes home and tells Lorelai what happened.
- Rory and Jess go back to the Diner to get some of Luke's things. Jess is mad at himself for always 
being a burden on Luke. He tells Rory he's not good enough for her but she refuses to listen.
- Lorelai apologizes to Luke and tells him she'll look after the diner while he's getting better. 

Whatever it Was, Is Lost:

- Chris tells Lorelai that he yelled at Luke, and Lorelai storms out of the house and back to the 
hospital.
- Rory, Jess and Caesar reopen the diner.
- Lorelai tells Luke that she knows about his fight with Chris. Luke tells her she can't blame Chris 
because he didn't cause the SCA. No one did. It just happened.
- Jess breaks up with Rory but doesn't tell her why.

See Right Through You:

- Jess tells Shane that he broke up with Rory and she accuses him of being afraid of Rory getting too 
close.
- Lorelai hangs around Luke's hospital bed, refusing to go home and talk to Chris. Luke tells her she 
has to.
- Lane tries to comfort a distraught Rory, who can't figure out why Jess would break up with her.
- Chris apologizes to Lorelai and she tells him it's ok and she doesn't blame him. He then proposes.

Two Roads to Walk Down, One Road to Choose:

- Rory walks in on Chris's proposal and assumes Lorelai said yes, which causes Chris to assume the 
same. 
- The whole Town is under the impression that Lorelai and Chris are engaged.
- Chris goes to Friday night dinner with Lorelai and Rory. The ring box falls out of his pocket and 
Emily and Richard find out about the proposal.
- When they get home Lorelai yells at Chris for letting everyone think they're engaged. He asks her 
if they are or not and she tells him she'll let him know the next day.
- Lorelai goes to the hospital and asks Luke if he meant it when he said he loved her. He tells her 
she should accept Chris's proposal.

This is One Whacky Game Show:

- Dean and Rory talk while she's picking up junk food for movie night. She ends up inviting him.
- Lane confronts Jess about dumping Rory.
- Rory goes to see Jess at the diner, and asks him if they're just on a break and will be a couple 
again soon, like she's been telling everyone. He says he doesn't think so.
- Lorelai accepts Chris's proposal and then Lorelai, Chris, Rory and Dean have a movie night.

Closing Walls and Ticking Clocks:

- After the movie night, Dean kisses Rory goodbye, telling her that he still thinks of her as more of 
a friend.
- Luke is able to leave hospital.
- Lorelai organizes a 'welcome home' party at the diner with the help of the rest of the town.
- Rory and Dean start dating again. Jess sees them kissing and is hurt.
- Lorelai starts acting odd around Chris but he doesn't notice.
- Jess refuses to leave the apartment, and Luke enlists Shane's help to get him up and out of bed.

Everything Is So Messed Up:

- Luke and Lorelai 'flirt' while she helps out at the diner.
- Shane forces Jess to get out of bed and take a shower.
- When Jess and Shane leave the diner they see Rory and Dean together. Jess convinces Shane to let 
him go back to the apartment by telling her she can come too.
- Jess admits to Shane that he broke up with Rory because he was falling for her and didn't want her 
to wake up one day and realize she was too good for him because he's 'nothing'. 
- Shane tells Jess that she doesn't think he's 'nothing'. She loves him. They start kissing and Shane 
reassures Jess that it's just 'comfort' and she knows he doesn't feel the same way about her.

Sad Eyes Never Lie:

- Jess tells Shane he can't keep kissing her. She says that she understands, it's too hard being with 
one person when you love someone else.
- Shane goes to see Rory but Lorelai tells her Rory is too busy to talk. Shane asks Lorelai to tell 
Rory to come to the Beauty Shop (where Shane works). Lorelai snaps at Shane for being Jess's 'little 
messenger'.
- Rory goes to see Shane and finds out why Jess dumped her. She admits she still wants to be with 
him.
